You cannot do this through the Access interface but must visit the lists directly on SharePoint
Create views in the lists corresponding to Access tables in SharePoint which explicitly return the number of rows and fields you need for your report.Publish the database as a web database on SharePoint using Access Services. They do not work in the context required. I created a work-around but it is rather cumbersome. I have tried copying the on-line screen report directly, but subreport content does not carry over and the format copied looks nothing like the report itself. I have tried using the export options to MS Word, for example, but when I do so I lose all the formatting in the report (color, rich text, etc.) except column boundaries, making the report extremely difficult to read.(Problem #3) - Is there an export option Specify a page size which is not a preset paper type? The only options for printing the report appear to be paper-based or images (ala PDF, XFS, OneNote), which creates reports in page format which doesn't fit on a smartphone without manually resizing the content. (Problem #1) - Is there any way to force Access reports to actually respect rich text formatting? The on-screen report works for the most part, except that formatting in the rich text doesn't handle bullet points or indents. I have set the column width to constrain the output accordingly. They do not open attachments and they do not have access to our database remotely. The intent is to copy and paste the status report into an e-mail which our executives can read on their smartphones while they are traveling. Problems identified below in the format (Problem #n).Įach week we generate an executive status report, which includes a status summary and a status detail section, followed by milestones and outstanding risks: I have built a report with rich text and two subreports but am having difficulty making it useable.
